JimHaydenJim Hayden – Chairman of the Board

Jim currently serves as a Director of The Arizona State Fraternal Order of Police and has held this post for the last 14 years. He is a native Arizonian and truly believes in making right for what is right. Jim also serves as Campaign Chair for our current Maricopa County Attorney. His extensive background in healthcare, real estate, risk management and HR provides a rich background for his capacity to provide connecting and persistent value.

JeffreyKirkhamJeffrey Kirkham

Jeffrey Kirkham has over 27 years of law enforcement experience beginning in 1985 with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and ending as Chief of Police for the Nogales Arizona Police Department. Jeff spent the majority of his career with the Mesa Police Department as a Lieutenant. He also served with the Apache Junction Police department as Reserve Commander and the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office as Chief Deputy. Jeff currently works for the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board in the compliance office.

Jeff has received the Mesa Police Lifesaving Medal, twice awarded Mesa Police Medal of Excellence, Sheriff’s Medal of Distinction, three Unit Citations, a Department Team Work Citation and two Commendations. His educational background includes an Associate in Arts-Business Administration from Mesa State College, CO; a Bachelor of Science-Business Administration/Secondary Education from ASU; a Master of Organization Management from the University of Phoenix; a Certified Public Manager from ASU and International Chief’s of Police Leadership in Police Organizations. Jeff also attended Northwestern University Center for Public Safety Police Staff and Command School.

ThomParkerThomas Parker

Mr. Thomas Parker is an Arizona native and has an extensive background in education, security management, private investigations, and the criminal justice system. He started at the age of 14 volunteering his time with the Chandler Police Department and joined the Police Explorer Program. His work was well regarded and resulted in friends of the Chandler Police Department directing Thom into Private Investigations at the age of 18. As a licensed investigator, he worked criminal investigation cases that lead to several arrests in Southern California pertaining to internal merchant thefts within retail and drug pharmaceutical establishments. Since 1986, Thom has volunteered and worked for law enforcement agencies, both military and civilian, conducting child safety courses, CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design), Security Risk assessments, and hundreds of various criminal investigations leading to arrests and convictions.

Thom has held various ranks within law enforcement and has been the recipient of numerous department awards and commendations throughout his career including the Medal of Honor, National Service Defense Medal, Distinguished Service Award and the Police Chief’s Significant Operations Service Award.

Thom earned a Masters Degree in Security Management within Homeland Security graduating with a CGPA of 3.95. He has a Bachelors Degree in Law Enforcement Administration, graduating cum laude, and is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. Thom is an active member of ASIS International, the International Police Officers Association, and the Fraternal Order of Police. He is an Adjunct Instructor at a well recognized university where he teaches investigative and criminal justice courses.

RichZawtockiRich Zawtocki – Legal Counsel

Rich Zawtocki has practiced law continually in Arizona since 1985. He currently works for Zawtocki Law Offices, P.L.L.C., which he established with his wife and law partner Marie Zawtocki. Rich focuses on all aspects of personal injury law, including motor vehicle collisions, dog bites, slip and falls and wrongful death claims. Rich also does general civil litigation, collection cases and both special education and school law cases.

Rich is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona, the Maricopa County Bar and the MCBA Lawyer Referral Program.

Rich graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law with honors in 1985. He received his undergraduate degree in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame with high honors in 1980. He has previously practiced law with the Udall Shumway, Langerman Begam, and Goldberg & Osborne law firms. At each he concentrated on personal injury law and litigation.

LouisPingtellaLouis Pingtella

Louis “Lou” Pingtella is a firm believer in giving back to his community because he loves to see other people succeed and wants to see businesses thrive and grow.

Lou has been a proven leader in the insurance industry for over 25 years and is the President of Quantum World Wide. Originally from Buffalo NY, he relocated to the Phoenix area with his family in 2008.

Lou is a self-described tenacious man who’s always striving to be the best. This has been evident throughout his career. From 2005-2008, Lou quickly rose through the ranks to become Vice President/General Manager for Zurich Programs and Direct Markets. He was successfully promoted to position of increased responsibility, starting as an Account Executive, then Regional Sales Manager and then VP/GM. While at Zurich, his divisional P & L responsibilities were over $85,000,000. During his career, he’s served as a mentor to new and veteran account executives, increasing their closing ratios and developing their skill sets.

MichaelKurtenbachMichael Kurtenbach

Michael Kurtenbach was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and has been with the Phoenix Police Department for 23 years. Throughout his career, he has been a strong proponent of Community Based Policing and has been involved in significant partnership-building with the citizens of Phoenix while holding varying positions and ranks in both Patrol and specialty assignments.

Mike was promoted to commander on October 10, 2011, and was given the responsibility of overseeing both the Maryvale Precinct and Training Bureau. Mike is also assigned to the City Manager’s Community Engagement and Outreach Task Force and is responsible for facilitating the implementation of recommendations designed to increase community access to, communication with and confidence in the Phoenix Police Department.

Mike has earned two degrees from Northern Arizona University, a B.A. in Social and Behavioral Science and a Master of Education in Human Relations. Mike has also been the recipient of numerous department awards and commendations throughout his career to include the Medal of Valor, Distinguished Service Award, Community Based Policing Award, Police Chief’s Unit Award, and Supervisor of the Year Award.
